Been talking to a Navy recruiter, id feel bad to ditch him but I haven't for very long at all so technically i could switch branches. im trying to take my asvab and ship off very soon so i need to pick
thinking of any of the following. I kinda want something physical (no combat arms jobs like infantry) but if cyber or something will easily get me 100k after i wouldnt mind as long as it's not easy to wash out. i find electronics interesting but i also am interested in the physical construction jobs to get me disciplined / keep me in shape
et (Electronics technician, Navy), debating enlisting for this one the most. advanced electrician stuff
machinists mate (navy) basically a lot of different stuff like ship turbines and pipes and the sort
engineman (navy) kinda self explanatory
utilitiesman (navy) plumbing, water purification etc
steelworker (navy) also debating this one a lot, basically welding but also steel cutting and stuff
ctn (navy) basically cyber stuff, hella transferable and you get security clearance but seems boring asf
it (navy), very transferable and easier to get but it's a lower clearance (TS instead of TS/ScI) than cyber or intel or nuke
nuclear (navy) its open so you can get a lot of different trade type roles, very interesting and easy asf 6 figures after, the only problem is there's like a 30-40% washout rate and i don't wanna be a cook
---
12n (horizontal/heavy construction, Army), also debating this one a ton but I'd feel bad switching, basically construction and you get to operate bulldozers, excavators etc, hella transferable
91b mechanic (army), self explanatory
---
if anyone knows fun / transferable / high paying trades not listed tell me because i bet there is a rate / mos for them i didn't list
