No way mfs are still asking this in 2023 lmao. Syntax is so basic that literally any popular book or video is probably 95% as good as the theoretical best resource. Where good resources actually come in handy is programming/engineering and design principles that apply to all languages.

once you learn the basics like loops and functions you HAVE to do actual projects. make a website, backend whatever as long as your coooding. if you get stuck find help for that specefic thing and keep coooding

It's like learning an IRL language like spanish or french, you'll never become fluent if you keep doing duolingo and tests, you have to talk to people to learn. Otherwise drop it and find something better to do with your time

Start with Java, when you learn the ropes the hard way at first you’re unstoppable later, languages like Python will become a meme to you

Start with the goal of software you want to build to make money, and then lookup things as you build it.

This is the best way to learn anything.

As far as the software, The most money made by solo developers has been when they develop something on top of a brand new emerging platform.

So like flappy bird when the smart phone first came out, or the first games for VR, or the first few crypto's when crypto currency was getting big, and right now the emerging platform is Ai, building on top of Claude or Chat-GPT with software as a service.

Platforms get crowded fast, and it becomes hard to make money but being first on an emerging platform is like guaranteed money, because people have nothing else.
