Could be. A narrow maxilla can contribute to lower crowding, but you’d need an ortho exam/CBCT to know for sure.

Yea my ortho said I had no adult pre molars but my lower pallets is quite narrow I’ve been referred for braces but idk if they’ll recess me or not.

No dont get braces bro did you get a cbct scan? If you havent ask for referall for a MARPE you want to expand first for lower pallet you can really expand the jaw but you can expand the dental arch

Braces wont necessarily recess you a good ortho with proper planning should avoid moving the teeth outside the bone

Yeah it wont recess however if your crooked teeth are due to your palate being narrow an expander is often a better choice even tho a lower expander wont expand his jaw bone only dental arch it gives him better future prospects if he wants marpe or other procedures done so an expander is most often the best choice and kf the upper palate is narrow expander is a no brainer

Ok il ask my mum to refer for a MARPE when i got to the ortho and tbf my top pallets is a bit narrow too

Yeah ask the doc for a referall for a cbct scan to look into your airway and maxillary width if you have functional problems like breathing speech or so on you can get it for free in Eu atleast

I mean that works however only in severe cases were your mental health is getting hit by it i recommend looking into if you have functional problems as thats the main reason you even get marpe research if you have the symptombs like dry mouth when waking up heavy feeling in chest fatigue brain fog waling uo tired
