Whenever I jut and put my tongue over my 2 front top teeth my philtrum shortens, I can only imagine that it would shorten even more from a ccw rotation, but I've heard people say it doesn't, so what is the answer? I'm aware it doesn't actually shorten necessarily, it's just not drooping down anymore which elongates it.

Will bimax ccw make a long philtrum look normal, or will it still always be long?

Only in combination with a lip lift

Does it fully raise the mouth then? Does it counteract upper lip stretching?
Yes it can raise the stomion if enough soft tissue is removed for the lip lift

So slight impaction and slight lip lift doesn’t raise stomion?
Not sure, I’d assume that would just make the upper lip fuller. There was a realfself post where Eppley explictly said that the stomion can be raised through lip lift if enough soft tissue is removed

How the fuck does it make sense tho

If you cut soft tissue and bone at the same time u should technically raise the stomion, but why should it only apply to a large enough movement

Unsure. Maybe removing a smaller portion of your philtrum results in a smaller force stretching only the upper lip whereas if you remove a big portion there is enough tension created to stretch the entire mouth area including the stomion

CCW bimax doesn't shorten philtrum nor does it shorten your midface like some .org users seem to think but CCW will give you more lower third projection which will sometimes balance out your philtrum and midface which is where the misconceptions arrise. If your philtrum is subhuman then a simple lip lift will usually do the job

There's also a great variety of liplifts to choose from so plan carefully so you don't end up looking like a duck faced idiot

If your philtrum is actually fine on it's own but looks disproportionately large then you might want to look into bimax (with or without CCW) to balance it out

well you can shorten your middle third with ccw/impaction so it would theoretically shorten the philtrum, no?
