Hey All, first hardmaxx post

Symptoms + images:

  1. Upper jaw/palate: Signs of narrow maxilla (tongue contacts upper teeth when on palate; posterior “black triangles” in smile; limited upper tooth show ~7–8 teeth). History: braces + extractions in high school. Upper wisdom teeth erupting; lowers not.
  2. Possible sleep-disordered breathing / nasal obstruction: Odd noise as I’m drifting off; wake with heavy unilateral mucus/congestion.
  3. Exercise intolerance: Breathing feels restricted during training intense training (basketball or other cardio demanding activity); legs fatigue early.
  4. Facial structure: Flat midface; told maxilla is recessed; perceived asymmetry; “down-grown” appearance.

Question: Is orthognathic surgery (bimax ± CCW) likely the best ROI for my functional + aesthetic goals? I'm in the process of getting a CBCT scan and am currently in contact with Dr. Cansiz. I'm a freshman in university and honestly don't care much about it so I want to fix my personal problems ASAP.

Thanks for Reading!

I’d say both bimax and some form of maxillary expansion, considering the symptoms you just described. This is just what I’d say but may not be true or needed, check w your doctor

I see downgrowth

Dont do bimax aint gonna change shit for you. Correct the deviated septum

so bimax won't do anything? What can do something for me then?

A good rhino would do more than a bimax ever will here.

bimax might already be worth it for functionality alone

for looks, bimax+rhino can help

I'm looking for the best ROI hardmaxx for my specific case, i think I have downgrowth and heard ccw works?
