Caused by a lack of downward growth of the maxilla and lower jaw.Isn’t sfs caused by a recessed maxilla? If so then you have to move it.
Is your philtrum very short with minimal tooth show?If so you should down-graft the maxilla.Im planning of getting it done but i dont want to move my maxilla, would a bsso with chinwing genio fix sfs?
no my philtrum and maxilla is good its just my chin is weakIs your philtrum very short with minimal tooth show?If so you should down-graft the maxilla.
i cant see any maxilla reccession in my case, going to upload cbct after i get it, in a queue with a surgeon rnIsn’t sfs caused by a recessed maxilla? If so then you have to move it.
Ask your surgeon if he agrees with that (go with a black-pilled one)no my philtrum and maxilla is good its just my chin is weak
Makes sense, thanks. Can't really make diagnosis without scans atm, but maxilla seems fine the jaw isnt like very reccessed, could pull off a genio chinwing, but still need to fix the mild malocclusion but its just a personal guessing.Ask your surgeon if he agrees with that (go with a black-pilled one)
I thought my maxilla was fine but it needs a bit of advancement upon closer look at the CT by the surgeon (4mm)
Often upper and lower recession go together I'd be surprised if your maxilla is perfect and only your lower jaw is recessed.
