Maybe people from China know about this? Popular dish used in soups in Hong Kong and some parts of mainland China. But it looks like it has anti aging benefits and stimulates collagen

Only heard about tretinoin and snail oil... Chinese are indeed based so I'm interested in this product. Never heard of it before

Promotes type 1 collagen synthesis

The thing about a lot of these alternative methods to stimulating collagen / anti aging is they’re not as studied as the common ones such as tret and bs like that. It could only give maybe a 20% improvement to collagen meanwhile others would increase more making it worthless

I’ve been put on to a lot of new stuff since moving back to Asia. Everytime I go on a date with a Asian girl I ask them about their skincare routine.

I tried this swallow's nest drink that came in these glass jars that a family friend of mine gave us.

There's sugar added since it clearly tasted sweet, and the price was ridiculously expensive.

There's probably more efficient ways that are evidence-based for increasing collagen.

I’m not I’m gonna put it on my face. It’s the sweat and shit that birds produce in their nest during the breeding phase.

Those things are good but I’m looking for stuff to help with my scars. That stuff doesn’t really help. Birds nest extract has healing properties for wounds.

true.
BUT, they also have gentic advantage in skin aging compared to whites.

I read stufies about themakeup and sturcture of skin layers, across different races.
And Asian and balck people. had such skin layers nd properties. that it mogged for aging.
And whites, had it the worse. genetically build up speaking

@Vermilioncore nominate me for a Nobel peace prize in my groundbreaking research in the field of EBN’s (edible bird nests)

I’ll go buy some bird nest extract at a local market tomorrow and apply to my face. Will report my findings in my next research paper.

No suprise it’s not talked about in this western centric forum as edible bird nests are only consumed in the east Asia region

Keep in mind it's a mouse study with n = 7, and they used a pretty high dosage of extract (proportionally would be on the order of grams for a human.)

It’s normal to eat grams worth of edible bird nest

Best way to consume it would just be eating the bird nest itself. Not much is known about topical application of ebn but it was shown to have less sun damage on mice when applied. But not too many studies about topical application

Only if my colleague Dr. @kjsbdfiusdf was here to peer review my findings. Unfortunately he’s been on leave of absence recently @Vermilioncore

Yeah probably can't hurt, it's just one of those cost/benefit things if you're going to recommend it to a bunch of people when things like tretinoin exist.

Hello!

Sounds like a good idea! The ancients utilized this technique in ancient Egypt and Persia!
