age differences are really rare these days. most people date exactly their own age now. i rarely even see a 3 year age difference nowadays. i think it's because people are afraid of being judged so they won't actually date even a couple years younger.

you are so ignorant. first of all, teenagers are NOT children. and no don't say "muh age of majority". so what if they're legally a child? the age of majority varies by country. some have it at 21. in fact, a fair amount have it at 16, and a couple have it at 15. many societies have their own idea of an adult. in some societies, you were an adult once you began puberty. in ancient israel, girls were considered women at age 12 and 1 day old and boys at like 14 or something.

also, 16 year old girls ARE finished growing. if you look up when people finish puberty, it says that girls begin puberty usually at age 10-11 and finish it at ages 15-17, boys usually begin puberty at age 11-12 and finish it usually at ages 16-17. they ARE finished growing. also, the idea that a 16 year old girl will damage herself in pregnancy is a myth. in fact, a lot of the complications among pregnant teens has mostly to do with lack of prenatal care and the fact that half of pregnant teens smoke while pregnant. studies show that when teenagers get good prenatal care and have good nutrition and avoid smoking or drugs, they have a high chance of giving birth to healthy babies. also, the percent of pregnant teens who experience complications like low birth weight, premature birth etc is actually only slightly higher than women in their 20s (eg: for women in their 20s i think it said 6% or something and for teens it said 13% or something.). Also, pregnancy problems are more common among younger teens than older teens. Teens age 15-19 usually are reproductively viable. Also, stfu with "muh brain development until 25". so 21 year olds aren't adults? they are.

the teenage brain is a MYTH. robert epstein (no he isn't related to jeffrey in case you assume so) wrote a big book about it. he said that immaturity among teenagers isn't caused by the teen brain. he says that immaturity among teenagers is what causes the teen brain. he also shows that immaturity among teenagers isn't inherent and that it's actually caused by society infantilizing teens and young adults and extending their childhood to 18 and their adolescence to 25. in many pre-industrial socieities, they found that teenagers were far more mature and had an absence of turmoil and reckless behavior. that's why 25 year olds in the 1950s were married and had kids while today's 25 year olds still act like teenagers. people are growing up slowly today.

older teens are biologically adults. if you finished puberty, you are biologically an adult. the biological definition of a child is someone who hasn't begun puberty. the concept of adolescence didn't exist until the 1800s/early 1900s. a biological adolescent would be someone currently going through puberty.
