Idk if anyone's already made a post on this and I cba checking so im posting anyway. Also not researched this heavily and might get smth wrong lmk if I do
The ihh/PTHrP feedback loop is one of the most important pathways in bone formation mainly bc it keeps proliferation zones active longer (basically keeps plates open for longer)
How it works: Indian hedgehog (funny because Indian jfl) is secreted by prehypertrophic chondrocytes in growth plates then diffuses up to signal PTHrP which then feeds to PTHR1 to delay hypertrophy and keep prolif zones active longer. This also creates a neg feedback loop since PTH is responsible for Lowering the number if cells that produce ihh which then reduces PTHrP signalling so on so on
Why is this important?: having too much/little ihh signaling can cause problems with keepin both growth linear. Too much = delays maturation/ossification. Too little = premature maturation.
How to fix: t4/t3 is responsible for signaling, ensuring youre thyroid works well enough (mainly through diet. Zinc, iodine and selenium are the most important) to be producing enough is good for promoting linear growth. If you want to go further, exogenous t3 will increase his signaling meaning potential heigh growth too. Has ALOT of side effects and could shred through muscles without the use of anabolics to counteract it (tren or other highly anabolic compounds ideally) and can fuck up your liver and kidneys too but whether you use it is up to you
Anyway peace out niggas first time trying posting something productive on here lmk how I did
