bone smashing concern/question?

So i was bs'ing my zygos, it was the 2nd time ive been doing it, and everything was cool, but then i woke up the next day, and instead having like cut skin or irritated ret skin i seriously got 2 slight blue bruises, theyre like berealy noticable but my family did notice and i over did my front zygos instead the acctual sides of them so the bruises are on the front of them, are blue bruises a good sign is that what was suppose to happen couse i expected just red marks, could it have been the tool, i was using a sort of a metal ball, or the consistancy, or the hardness of smashing ?
