I believe she had really poor oral hygiene for years on end, that led to a bunch of deep cavities in all those teeth and they were so deep that they were fucking up / killing the nerves and the roots of her teeth so they had to be extracted.

Snap-on denture is what she got. Alternatively there is all-on-4 dental implants that cost 3x as much but those are permanent inside your mouth.
