Muay Thai fighters hit their elbows and shins against hard objects to create microtears to harden it. They do it all the time.
Ancient European Hunter Gatherer societies like the Cro Magnids/Faelids engaged in fist combat against each other for resources and territory, Germanic/Scandinavian people descend from them, that's why they have more chiseled facial bones.
Example of a CroMagnoid male
Indo Europeans/Aryans on the other hand used sophisticated weapons like bow and arrows and swords, that's why their features are less chiseled but because they were high energy expending warriors their features are more robust compared to Mediterranean people who descend from farmers.
Look at South East Asian people like Cambodians, Thais and Burmese. Their features are more chiseled compared to North East Asians. Why? Because they didn't use weapons but engaged in meele combat as well.
Same thing with Tungisic people.
War mongering Northern Chinese also have more sharper features than Southern Chinese.(rice farmers)
