I often see people say that MMA fighters are a good example of a result of bonesmashing, the repeated traumas to their face leads to most of them having mogger skull structures (from what I've seen/heard).

However, I was wondering if this is similar to the 'swimming gives you broad clavicles' situation. Some people think swimming gives you broad clavicles as top swimmers are tall with broad clavicles - but the only reason top swimmers are top swimmer is because they genetically have the clavicles and height in the first place.

Is it the same for MMA? Were most MMA pros with mogger skull structures only pros because they already had the bone structure, or did the fighting itself lead to them having a more masculine dimorphic face?

if you stop and see, all ufc fight have a good FHWR and thats is the reason they are pros

Wrestling during puberty definitely helped me with bone growth (wider clavicles and more jaw definition), but I also broke my nose, which I would have to get a nose job to fix now. That's the tradeoff with any martial art lol

Oh k, thanks for the insight.

You can fraud with nose correctors if you have a dorsal hump, wide alar base or anything like that. If your nose is crooked then yeah, hope you manage to get a rhino ASAP brother.

You can see my nose in my profile photo. The main reason it didn't heal back to its original state is that I was still doing intense training daily and competed without a facemask after only a month. Most people usually can heal back pretty easily without constant trauma, so don't worry about it too much if you're thinking about starting a martial art. As for getting a rhino, I probably wouldn't, for the same reason I don't mind having a little bit of cauliflower ear lol. Good luck on your journey
