I was born with CHH (congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism) and couldn’t start puberty naturally. I’ve been on Sustanon through the NHS since age 12 - started at 50 mg/month, now 250 mg/month. I’m 16 (nearly 17).

My mood swings hard between injections; at the end of the month my troughs drop to around 100 ng/dL and it feels awful. The doctors won’t adjust the dose or frequency because it’s outside NHS protocol, and I have no natural LH/FSH production.

They’ve said I might be included in an upcoming hormone-replacement trial, but I haven’t heard anything for a few months. Meanwhile, I’ve only grown about 3 inches in the last three years and growth has really slowed down, and still have little masculine development, but from online tests I'm like tanner stage 4.3+ now.

I’ve really considered self-medicating - dding a bit more test, and possibly hCG/HMG/kisspeptin to smooth things out, but I know blood tests would expose it and that could jeopardise the trial and cause issues with my doctors. Still, it’s hard not to think about it when I’m feeling this bad.

NHS is the standard public government health system in the UK. I've really wanted to go private as maybe there they could split or increase my doses and possibly even add HCG but it's all speculative and very costly and parents aren't willing to do so at the moment and want me to wait it out a bit longer.

Any advice on what I should do? Thanks.

you should voice your concerns with the doctors and make it clear what you want

I have tried this many times and I can't fully blame them but they can't go beyond the standard national protocol for my issue so easily.
