BRACES AND FACE SHAPE

i’ve had braces for almost a year now, i had one baby tooth removed from my left gum, i have an overbite but i’ve been told not to wear the bands because they cause maxilla recession, i also have a long philtrum, something that will only get worse if my overbite is fixed, im getting them removed in about 3 months, will they fuck me up any more than they have already? (if they have)
