Braces at 18

I’m wondering if it’s worth it to get braces at 18 going into college soon. I made the mistake in getting Invisalign at 13 and eventually just stopped going because I never wore the shit. Couple years later and now I’m completely regretting it. Is getting the braces worth it even if I’ll look retarded in my early years of college
