it's a bit complex. generally speaking damon braces don't fix the root cause but they do mildy widen your arch and tip teeth outwards.
they mainly move teeth within the existing bones. they don't truly expand the palate

yes but not always, the maxilla has 3 planes iirc, sides, upwards and downwards and forward and backwards, it can be recessed in some and not in others, it can also not be recessed and you can still have a narrow palate. honestly expand your palate nonetheles. skeletal expansion that is, not dental. good luck
