my teetharent bad bad but they’re crooked and i have a gap im 13 btw and im wondering if i should get braces but i heard it makes you recessed. what do u guys think?

Yes get braces bruh u dont want people to be disgusted when you smile. They don't make you recessed unless your ortho is an autist. If anything it helps your jaw and encourages forward growth. Just talk with your ortho and cover everything you're worried about and what u want the end results to be, I got braces years ago when I was around ur age and was a retard so my mom just talked for me and decided everything. Nothing bad happened, but I didn't get a choice in anything and didn't really know what was going on.
