Braces recessing mandible/maxilla

So I’m getting braces with elastics for my gap tooth and overbite in a couple of weeks, what can I do to not recess my mandible and/or maxilla or what can I do to prepare for the braces

The only thing you can do is not get braces and elastics. Get the Reviv Mouthguard.
