Braces W/ Bands?

In my prev thread, I was asking what I could get to fix my horrendous overbite. It turns out I have a crossbite AND an overbite. My ortho recommended braces w/ rubber bands, is that gonna make me recessed? If not, should I get normal braces or damon braces?

Rubber bands on their own won't make you more recessed. It only really makes a difference if your premolars are extracted by which your teeth are pulled back far more but your actual bone specifically the maxilla won't really move that much. What will possibly change are the protrusion of your lips

Ortho said no extractions . Hopefully it makes them protrude more since they don't protrude in the slightest, so I look a bit weird.

i dont think fixing the crossbite will cause any issues but idk about the overbite. Probably depends if you have a crossbite at your molars or your front teeth

i had a crossbite on my back teeth as well, should be an easy fix and shouldn't cause any issues. It may affect how your cheeks sit a bit but shouldn't recess you

No nigger go to an airway ortho and get protraction. If you don't have any recession just braces would be OK.
