I think I started having this problem as a sophomore in high school when I was at my lowest. I would be walking through the hallways and all of a sudden I would just forget to breath or something and I had to immediately look down and hide my face while I recovered. I think it might stem from a confidence issue but I'm really not sure. I am a freshman in college now but I still have this issue especially at the barbershop or at the dentist. My barber will be cutting my hair and out of nowhere I just tense up and stop breathing and it looks so fucking weird to onlookers I'm sure. I was at the dentist over christmas break and the dentist literally couldn't start on me because I kept telling her to hold on because I kept forgetting to breath. I'm in a way better space now than I was three years ago so I'm not sure why I still have this issue.
