It’s all just sitting down and memorizing shit from books. Only guys I knew who got really high grades admitted to studying 12 hours a day. In my school the only people who got into top unis were short zero testosterone girls. At least in the US your extracurriculars like sports and stuff matter and the education system is easy as fuck. Ofcourse this doesn’t apply unless ur some 200 iq genius but that most likely means ur a nerd or unfun to be with anyway. Any guy with high testosterone won’t be able to sit down and focus on reading about molecules for 12 hours a day it isn’t right

I knew someone would say this. I still got decent grades without studying shit and got an offer to a top 20 uni which is top 10 for my course in the UK. But I’m going to a lower ranked university for a lore convenient location+university rep doesn’t matter much for my career

Definitely should be about grades mainly. I think for extracurriculars it should be considered that they did more than just look at books 24/7. I say this because the people I see going to top 10 unis from my school r the socially weird nerds like there is no way it makes sense they get a head start in the real world where they won’t be able to compete

Yeah I agree for software companies it doesn’t matter much since they don’t really socialise or meet clients face to face. But I know two girls who got into presitigous financial institutions, they’re stupid as fuck and have no real interest in it. I’ve interacted with them for years. But their parents legit beat them into studying and took their phones and stuff for a year, and they’ve taken a seat from someone who would’ve flourished in the finance world because of social skills +genuine interest in the field, but has lower grades
