We take it for granted that hair loss is unattractive in men. It makes you look old, etc. But I think there is another reason why a good hairline is attractive: Men with good (low) hairlines have more protection in combat.

Take Khabib Nurmagomedov as an example. He is legendary in MMA for never getting defeated. In fact, he's never even been cut (bleeding from forehead) in a fight. Getting cut could make the referee stop teh fight and declare you the loser for safety, even if you are still willing to fight. Khabib has a very low hairline. Punches are less likely to cut him and blind him where he has hair to protect his skin.
