BSSO is worth it even just for the imporovement in hyoid

The increase in oral volume from a large movement improves hyoid so much its worth it just for that i would say

i looked so shit from the side before even with mewing jutting now i can just completely relax and my hyoid region looks good and will look great once i get a bit of filler

I asked my surgeon about it before, he said its because the muscles come up, the skin also becomes more taught due to increase in oral volume. No amount of chin lipo neck lift will be able to acheive it. Genio can acheive alot tho.

The hyoid bone is playing tug of war between the stylohyoid process and their ligaments, and between the muscle group and tendons of the geniohyoidus. Having seen so many CT scans, I'm sure that abnormally long stylohyoid processes create that sagging windpipe, bad jawline look.

It's impossible to do anything about length of the stylohyoid processes or stylohyoid ligaments, but with a BSSO the muscle group of the geniohyoidus is pulled forward, and like a in system of constraints the angle between the stylohyoid processes, the hyoid bone, and the interior border of the chin becomes more oblique like a straight line, as the distance between the stylohyoid processes and the interior border of their chin reach maximum separation. The same thing happens every time that you swallow. The geniohyiodus muscle contracts and so the hyoid bone rises for that instant.

Jaw surgery is like rebirth for a lot of people who have small and rounded lower jaws.

Indeed though it has its limits. If your hyoid bone is especially low it can still be shit after BSSO, just less shit. Just important to remember because a lot of people expect to have some Angelina Jolie lookin submental after bimax
