i dont know if i believe in the same buddhism that my parents n relatives believe in. i believe that buddha was js a htn bloke who was rly smart n kind. he is not egotistical or prideful or anything like that. the whole ideology was, basically, to be kind to each other n to live together in a cohesive society.

the ones that my parents n relatives n a lot of ppl believe in is the one with spirits, layers of hell, etc. smthing closer to a religion like christianity. i dont know whats happening cus theyre both forms of buddhism but not at all the same?

it basically encapsulates the core philosophy of buddhism and uses the theism of christianity (although it's all heresy) and i'm sort of atheist leaning rn because of it

i might get back into religious stuff in my free time as soon as i get my life sorted out

if u pick n choose parts of religions, then u r basically making a new religion. this might js be an ideology atp, tho its fair
