By bulking i don’t mean being in a slight surplus over time but rapidly gaining 10 or even 20% extra body fat for some muscle

Rare L. You don't have to get fat to bulk up and a lot of women like the look. Just stay between ~15-20% body fat.

You can get away with a surplus but still don’t push it like crazy. Slow and controlled.

Obviously roids will greatly speed up muscle gain

Very inconsistent diet. I genuinely forget to eat because of low appetite and hence skip meals.

I need to change that once exams are over.

Unless youre pinning you only need to eat a few extra grams of protein and carbs over maintenance which youll want naturally on your own if you get physically more active

The perfect look is around 18% with visable trained abs.

So what’s the reality? Based only on the information in the video, it says he’s 16.9% with a total fat mass of 16.7kg. By our calculations, that means a total mass of 98.81kg. Now we have to make an assumption about Matt’s bone mass as this is not in the video, if we assume a bone weight of 3kg – which would be heavy bones, then that leaves us with a lean mass of 79.11kg. Reversing out the calculation for NHANES is as simple as dividing the lean mass by 0.946. So that means that Matt’s real body fat percentage is 12.3%

He was measured 16.9. at the most it would be 3% off which would put him 14%.

Most muscular 100m runners are around 15% too they just have high muscle mass
