Caffeine pills as a diuretic?

I know caffeinated drinks are generally not considered a useful diuretic since you just restore the water you piss out, but would caffeine pills help lower water retention noticeably?

I’m going to begin taking them anyways, so if the answer is ambiguous I’ll post my results
