The thing most people who diet here don't realize is how energy dense fat deposits are.

Let's say you are 25% bf (that's close to average bf in some countries) and wan't to get to 10% bf.

Let's say you are 90 kg. That's 15% of stored fat that you have to lose, which is 13.5 kg by weight. In terms of calories that's 121 500 calories (1 gr of fat = 9 calories).

Let's say you do it the dumb way and do caloric restriction, let's say 200 cal / day deficit.

That's 121 500 / 200 = 607 days to reach your goal

Long term caloric restriction aka starvation is indeed retarded, I agree

Nope, trying to eat healthier is cope. Losing weight is fundamentally about how many calories you burn vs how many you intake. The good thing is that you burn a lot of calories just being sedentary as part of your body’s metabolism. There are online calculators, just look it up

Better to figure it out with trial and error tho those calculators are not very accurate

It's much more complicated... So if fat was pure adipose tissue it would be 9000 kcal for 1kg of fat, but fat is only about 60% - 85% adipose tissue meaning 1kg would be somewhere between 5,400 - 7,650 kcal.

The way your body processes calories determines whether you lose, gain or maintain weight. There are so many more factors that matter; insulin sensitivity, gut health (absorption), micronutrient status, hormones(!!!), thyroid, etc. etc.

You should add in diet breaks: a few weeks of eating at maintenance.

caloric deficit literally only means eating less than you burn, and it is the ONLY way to lose fat. i think what you meant was "eating less while not exercising". exercise creates calorie deficit. so if you only have the willpower to knock 200cal off your diet (lol) you could burn 300 more by walking and have 500 deficit.

i thought jews are meant to be smart

Yes tbh but even exercise pales in comparison to the effects of just eating less. Of course if you only eat 200 calories less per day you won’t see results. I did 1500 calorie deficit from what I usually eat and saw results cause I’m not lazy as shit
i agree i saw best results from just 600-800 deficit and minimal exercise.

I’m sure there are other factors but the fact is if you eat significantly less you will lose weight. To say otherwise is cope for lazy motherfuckers.
of course calorie restriction works. Keto works too. Fasting does as well. That doesn‘t mean that these are the best options when it comes to healthy long term weight loss

That is literally scientifically impossible. Losing weight at a calorie surplus?? Get off this forum with that nonsense
nigga probably shit out lots of water weight :lul:

The question is what your body does with the calories you eat. Eating 3,000 kcal doesn’t mean absorbing 3,000 kcal.

Excess saturated fat decreases insulin sensitivity and makes you more likely to store energy in fat cells (gain weight)

Hindu dindu cope just eat less and exercise and no you don’t have a law of thermodynamics breaking body where you eat more than you burn and lose fat
You‘re an idiot. Just look at people with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis

If you are 90 kg and 25% bf you have 90 * .75 = 67.5 kg of lean mass. To be 10% body fat we divide 67.5 by .9 and get 75 kg. So 90 - 75 = 15 kg not 13.5. Low iq thread tbh.

"Excess energy/Caloric surplus". I corrected it for you although I probably could have insulted you.

Make another post defying thermodynamics and we ll know you are a clown

calories in / calories out, but your hormones can also play a role, so if your eating soy and eating out of plastic, things will get harder.

the simple solution to lose weight though is fasting

At 90 Kg the calorie restriction is minimum 300kcal (10%), and you can go up to 900 kcal for a 25%. Keep the workout, add more cardio, and you can lose 1 kg+ a week, which is optimal. Bad post.

Basic science. Calorie Deficit is the only way to lose weight. You can either increase output or restrict calories, calorie restriction is much easier.

Why are you bumping shit threads, could've asked him in PM

Is it because of OP, so we can remember him or what ?
