Can a deep bite weaken the lateral projection of the zygomatic bone?

This question came to mind after I read something about it, because it doesn't make sense to me. I'd like to have a little more lateral projection, and I have a deep bite, and I'm going to start treatment now. My dentist mentioned MARPE as well, but I don't know if it would actually help with the lateral projection of the zygomatics.

MARPE can help by widening the maxilla to reduce the illusion of flatter cheekbones, but it doesn’t fix the issue because it doesn’t change the actual zygomatic bone itself.

So, my zygomatic bones are good in the sense that they are well-defined, but I feel like I lack lateral prominence. I've always felt that was missing, but I kind of accepted it for a while. But then last year I started studying more and discovered some causes and solutions. I had always neglected orthodontics, and I started looking into it. I discovered that I have a deep bite and found out about MARPE.I told my dentist that I was experiencing this deficiency, and she mentioned MARPE, so perhaps it's a solution since she herself mentioned using it on me. I just wish my zygomatic bone, as it is, was a little more projected to the sides, but I'm afraid of MARPE because I think my palate is good, so I would have to expand very few millimeters or none at all.
