Yeah, it usually does.

A small mouth is usually proportional to a low intercanine width.

And MARPE increases your intercanine width.

So theoretically, MARPE should increase your mouth width.

I'm assuming by upper palate expander you mean MARPE. idk if ur doin sm else for your palate though.
