I have type 2 bipolar (diagnosed) and I've noticed that I'll have a certain phase for a long period of time almost a year I think it changes.

2025 has been a huge depressive state for me. No energy or willpower whatsoever but I also have the recurring depression also diagnosed.

I've also noticed that 2024 was a very creative and high energy time for me too. I wasn't nearly as sad as I've been all 2025. Not much has changed within those years to influence me dramatically so I don't think it's environmental at all. It's always been the same old stuff.

I can't really remember much before 2023 but I remember that year being awful as well. But I also had some other stuff going on.

I wonder if these mania and depression state can last that long. Lmk. Ts mental stuff is confusing

That sounds pretty standard even without a change in external factors it's neurological shit not circumstantial. Most of the shit you mention like the memory loss adds up, you probably just don't cycle quickly netween episodes rather you have long drawn-out phases.

That sucks then. I can't wait for 2026 so I can be happier and out of this depressive episode
