Can braces fix lower third

I’m 14 and got damon braces, the orthodontist said the rubber bands can help pull my jaw forward ( i have overbite). will braces fix this by itself?

Idk fs, but I would say braces wouldn’t fix it entirely. The rubber bands will pull ur jaw forward and support bone growth, but unless bone growth in the jaw happens, the braces won’t fix it itself
