Can braces stop facial and jaw development and growth

If you wear braces during puberty / growth phase, can this slow down (or even stop) the development of the facial bone and the wide and forward growth of the jaw?

Depends on what is your issue in the 1st place. Dont ever get camouflage orthodontics that is mainly detrimental to aesthetics and functionality.

Getting teeth extractions like the premolars. Will mess up your face. Dont know if braces themselves to that tho.
