yeah lol. you can adjust your workout based on however you feel. unless you’ve never worked out before you should be able to gauge properly, i’m assuming you don’t want a direct strength hit on your chest movements or something idk

lateral raises primarily target the lateral (side) deltoid muscles, they also engage the anterior (front) deltoids, along with other supporting muscles.
well in that case your form is probably jail worthy
