can i hard chew w braces?

ik it’s a retarded question but i’m 14 and i have damon braces, my ortho said not to chew gum or hard foods so if hard chew gum can it break the brackets?

Yes i has 3 years braces and jewed hard with results and they didnt brake or sth, but take calcium and d3 k2 to give the bones the minerals to remodel
