Can i just spam a plate on bench and will get my bench stronger? Or should i be prog overloading even though it’ll mean i will have less reps?

Why would you have less reps while doing progressive overload?
I do double progression, just keep the reps and add weight when you own your reps

just start at 315 so you dont have to worry about 225 or progressive overloading. dont ask silly questions

Im saying im currently at like 10 reps or so with a plate, if i were to add to that it would bump it down to like 3-5

Yeah what I meant is you can stay at the current weights until you "own" them, and then go up in weights but keep the amount of reps. That's just what worked well for me, so it's just from personal experience. Not saying it's the best or anything.

Okay cool, thats what i was doing currently, how long did it take for you to see a sizeable increase in weight?

I don't remember, I didn't like keeping track on paper or a spreadsheet so I just went with the flow.
I just remember I stopped trying hard after I got to 220lb for 12 reps
I've barely worked out in the past 1-2 years
