Genuine question, why do we still preach bulking? Just putting on unnecessary fat with 0 benefits
There are benefits

You will look more muscular and larger in a shirt

Plus it will help build a foundation for you to lift heavier and therefore gain more muscle mass

You don't just gain fat, you gain muscle aswell- especially of its a clean bulk and you lift at the same time

You will look bigger in a shirt but you'll have a higher bf%. You never wanna intentionally not be lean.

Sure, you do gain a bit more muscle, but that muscle is lost when you need to cut. No matter how much you optimize it, you'll always lose a bit of muscle in a deficit, the longer the deficit, the more muscle lost. And if you bulk, the deficit will be longer.

I say just cut once and then maingain, or at the very most a 100kcal surplus if you really wanna for some reason. Nothing wrong with bulking, just not optimal and also not intuitive. And I won't even mention the iqlet gymcels on those "dirty bulks," deadass eating slop all day and thinking their muscles are benefiting from it lmfao

Yeah, bulking should only be used by considerably underweight people

Someone average weight should never bulk
