Can jaw realignment cause pain?

I'm fixing my jaw asymmetry and in the side that is fucked i'm noticing like a tickle/burn around the ramus angle tissue

yes. I was diagnosed with TMJ because of chronic efforts to jute my mandible forward. The pain went away after about 10 years.

so do you think i should stop fixing it and return to my original position? or i should keep going on? my jaw stops clicking in this position and everyday is clicking less and less
