I think it all comes down to someone’s circumstances what their morals are

Some morals are objective in nature like motherly instinct, friendship. Other than that it's highly subjective

If objective truth exists then objective morality does too
Prove it through God

Motherly instinct is more of a genetic thing, friendships can break

I mean it exist outside of humans. So it must be objective, even animals show these.

Objective truth can exist without objective morality imo. Truth is observation, morality is based on a mind

you arent charlie kirk lil bro. theres an objective definition of morality
I've been told this yesterday :lul: I'm just asking him
I believe in objective morality

i dont think so unless you believe in a god or have a grand authority to base it on
Even if u believe in god morality is still objective in a cosmic sense

Yea but I don’t think that’s morals
It's morals to to care about your child. And also it's morals to bond with humans and among themselves

Right from wrong
You can't claim right is subjective and so is wrong
Then you lose life purpose
Prove God, through it prove objective morality
Read Aristotle

If you're jaded, it's easy to say objective morality doesn't exist. But some things are objectively wrong, like murder and child rape; it's an instinct

not at all dolphins rape each other, numerous animals die in pain at the hands of other animals. They only show mother instinct because it evolutionary benefits them plenty of animals kill and eat their own children

It's morals to to care about your child. And also it's morals that keep animals bonding with humans and among themselves
That’s biological. Animals don’t really have mind/ are not contingent creatures, so they can’t really be compared to us.

i suppose so but i also included a grand authority such as natural or cosmic law

Than that would god below something, which would take away from his omnipotency

It’s debatable but generally no

What if someone says they don’t have that instinct?

how so ? dolphins rape each other and rape and torture other animals . We as humans only dont commit those acts because of our feelings and what not. mothers rarely kill thier kid because they love them and so on

objective morality is only possible in a worldview with a God
Maybe I already responded but even with a god there is no objectivity

Murder isn't wrong in animals.
Animals are fundamentally different from humans; humans possess an advanced form of consciousness that allows us to reason in abstract terms and ponder the future, rather than responding to environmental stimuli as do most mammals

i guess so but i meant that in an athiestic sense, as independent of god and spirituality

With God objective morality has to exist, for he sets the rules
If he wills to be all-Just there has to be an equation to be just over, such is human life
And it'd be unfair to make justice without laws.

So u believe there are cosmic laws in place for morality? Than yea that would be objective morality but u go and prove them I mean shit

But god is a subject himself, he has a mind. If morality is what he desires than it’s not truly objective in a cosmic sense

i mean i dont believe in them. im just setting an example for how someone might argue for objective morality divorced from god. Im agnostic on objective morality im just playing the devils advocate

I can say that I believe 2+2=5, that doesn't make it true
U can’t compare an observable mathematic truth to a mind based opinion of an action such as killing. It’s a fallacy

It has to exist outside of all minds, and everywhere not just some places, not just outside human minds

I mean than just animals behavior would be enough to shut this down. Or than they would have to say that this different cosmic morality in place for every different specie. That would be stupid especially cuz atheists believe in evolution
