Can someone educate me on whats the difference between a long midface and a long face

title. I really having trouble understanding this cuz chico and bojack has a longer face then me but my midface is longer then them how can this happen?

I dont know if im 100% correct:
Long midface = low fwhr
Long face = low fwhr + very high bizygomatic to bigonial width ratio

The real difference is long face versus tall face. Long faces are actually not tall enough in the back, the posterior maxilla is recessed and the jaws grew downwards, whereas tall faces have sufficient growth but in a more vertical orientation. The easiest way to tell is that long faces have high gonial angles, tall faces have long ramus.

yeah i have a long midface but i dont think im recessed. I have a long ramus too your right about that.

the midface is the vertical span from the middle of the eyebrows to the upper lip, the middle third. a long midface could be identified by a LOW MFR (midface ratio = eye distance/midface length) or a LOW FWHR (face width to height ratio = bizygomatic width/midface length). a long total face, however, is a face with a high TFWHR (total face width to height ratio = total facial length (hairline to chin lowest point) divided by the bizygomatic width)

when you see a man with a face not too tall but his middle too elongated its a long midface.
if you see a man with ALL the thirds too long, so chin and philtrum, midface, maybe the forehead, he has a long TOTAL FACE
