During kickoff why do teams immediately kicking the ball to the other side corner and give up possession immediately? Why is that? Is this some new tactic?

Its not giving up possesion
They put higher pression in the opponents half field and when they get the ball your closer to goal

Like they go all in during the throw in that they โ€œgave possesionโ€ and they are high likely to get the ball

Team A kicks it to the sides etc during kickoff
Team B gets free throw in (but its close to their goals)
Team A goes all in pressuring during the throw in
Team A gets the ball and is close to the goal so its easier to score

Ofc you can't comprehend it with your dalit IQ.

It's obviously to put the opposite team in pressure since one mistake on their side can be costly.

I play mini fotball weekly and that's the meta here constantly (kinda)

It's better percentage-wise and safer to just throw the ball in general to the enemy side of the field, either towards the goalkeeper / towards the goal / towards the out whatever, just throw the ball above everyone constantly towards the strikes of the team standing in front and put pressure on the entire opposing team to go down to defense instead of focusing on attack

In mini football, when this happens, you have a very good chance of either recovering the ball from the opponent and you are already very close to their goal, or of getting a corner or out

Instead, giving the ball to the back and trying to build the offensive phase from 0 with constant passes implies a very high risk of making mistakes and the opponents going on a counterattack with numerical superiority, so you don't want that, just throw the ball forward instead and play the pressure / percentage game..:veryCat:
