So im in a vicious cycle of doomscrolling and yeah you already know the whole deal with that. So ok.

My question here is that I dont want to go full monk mode here and completely eliminate the internet from my life. But I also want to get my dopamine receptors back in check.

Can I get away with watching TV while maintaining a healthy lifestyle (gym/school/walks/etc)
And when I say TV I mean as in educational documentaries and walking tour videos that go so long as like 3 hours and shi

Here's an example:

Can I get away with it what do you think? Lmk

yeah it's better than doomscrolling
but if you're cutting down from doomscrolling (~7 second videos) to 3 hours then i feel like you're taking too big of a leap. it's probably better to just slowly taper down like limiting your doomscrolling overtime > youtube videos > extended yt > docus or whatever

What kinda long forces content do you suggest
anime, movies, live action series, manga, manhwa, novel (any form) reading is good for dopamine

But your saying that yes, you can get away with it and it'll still fix your attention span???

1: just don’t watch that jester rattled bullshit
2: if you really insist, than you can just watch it while you’re doing something productive

Isn't multitasking horrific for your dopamine receptors?

yeah, and imo it's a better way. think of how fried your brain is right now. it probably cant handle anything more than a few minutes, so what makes you think you're gonna make it adapt to fix itself if you try to brute force a 3H documentary? you're pretty much trying to bench 100KG while starting at 20KG one rep max

if you want to fix it, i'd suggest just start with limiting your doomscrolling (X hours > 3 hours > 2 hours) and so forth until you're done. then you can go into longer and longer content (5 min vids, 10 mins, and so forth) until ur dopamine receptors are all fixed up.
(gym/school/walks/etc)
be careful with music as well. everyone knows that music is a big ass stimulant for dopamine so you'd also have to limit or cut out music while doing these.

in my experience it wasnt that hard to stop. what i did was to go off grid for a week, and then my attention span was back to normal.

i recommend you do what i did, but if you cant i recommend to slowly start watching long videos and avoid short videos

not horrible. That’s vastly exaggerated nothing will really happen to them.

because you have no ulterior motive in your life

whats there to improve when you dont know whats your end goal would be?

Atleast when you have an actual goal, you'd go left and right and do whatever to achieve that
