Can too much chin filler cause necrosis?

I decided to go for the filler way of improving my chin. In december I got 4ml and 3 months ago another 2 which brings me to 5ml.
The chin has improved a lot, but I would likw to get some more projection.
My surgeron has once told me that too much filler can cause the skin to not be correctly supplied with blood anymore and might die off.
Is this possible and how much filler would be too much??
