A hairloss specialist claimed that topical fin doesn't go systemic, that "there's a reason why it's topical". I wonder if it's the same for dutasteride. I'm coming back next month...

swap out minox with stemoxydine and you're good no collagen loss. and yes it does rape collagen, my first hand experience.

Topical fin goes systemic, @ioan told me you can do a 0.5% solution by smashing fin pills in minoxidil. Topical decreases chances of side effects but not by much it seems, however scalp concentration is much higher.
The ideal is topical dutasteride because it does not go systemic and blocks 5ar in the scalp at a much higher rate, however it's hella expensive because you can't smash pills as with fin.

What's the difference between stemoxydine and minoxidil?

im not really sure tbh since minoxidil's mechanism of action itself is not understood well but from what I know Minoxidil helps the hair follicle to stay in the Anagen (growing) phase while Stemoxydine helps it to return back to the Anagen phase after Telogen phase has been completed.

Stem has no side effect and same results?

i wont say quite the same results, stem could be a bit less potent but yes no side effects. And lemme warn you on minoxidil, I might be a hyper responder to it but I literally aged 5 years

I have a shipment from ADC coming with minoxidil, tret and fin. I want to apply minox on eyebrows + beard, not necessarily hair but yeah I've hard some shit about it. Is stemoxydine good for eyebrows and beard?

dk I haven't tried it personally yet. But you could use minoxidil on brows and not have much adverse side effects tbh and stem is also very expensive so stick with minox if for brows but dont use it for beard

You need an anti androgen that is hydrophobic and is thus not absorbed into the bloodstream and doesn't effect DHT systemically (like finasteride)

Eucapil could be good for you

I kinda want to use it for beard though for a year or so until the vella (follicles) become terminal. What was your dosage? I think I will go with .2ml for eyebrows and .5 or so for the beard

I can't find a lot of information on that, eucapil looks very expensive and I can't find what the 5ar inhibitor molecule is

I read some oldcels say that topical dutasteride is not effective because it needs to be metabolized in the liver first.

Thoughts on that?

:feelskek: maximum, i mixed minoxidil powder in alcohol till it stopped dissolving
Dude wtf didn't you buy liquid or foam? Of course putting high dosage alcohol on your face will age it jfl

Yes dut pills must be metabolised in the liver, which is not the case for fin, that's why you can smash fin pills for a topical solution. For dut you need to get your hands on the liposomal version of dut see this thread https://looksmax.org/threads/topical-duta-once-a-week-keeps-the-norwood-reaper-away.237100/ it's rarer and more expensive but doesn't go systemic
