The skin is composed of two layers: the epidermal outer layer is highly cellular and provides the barrier function, and the inner dermal layer which ensures strength and elasticity, and gives nutritional support to the epidermis.
The epidermis is a challenged environment for nutrient delivery, as it lacks the blood vessels that normally deliver nutrients to cells.
Most of the vitamin C in the skin appears to be in intracellular compartments. It is transported into cells from the blood vessels present in the dermal layer.
Long-story short, in order maximise the efficacy of vitamin C, it should be absorbed dietetically, rather than topically.
And by dietetically, I mean with the consumption of whole-foods, such as fruits and vegetables, rather than in supplement form.
Can u supplement Enough from normal food without eating 10 oranges a day?yes. in matter of fact oranges, orange juice and kiwis mog synthetic vitamin c
okay,i guess i will buy vitamin c suplements xdWith nutrients, it's never about what you eat, but the numbers.
Most collagenmaxxing guides say you need to overdose on vitamin C to get the full benefits. I.e. anywhere between 1500-2000mg of vitamin C.
Now do some googling and figure out how many oranges you'll need to eat to get that amount, and you can decide whether you prefer two tables or several oranges.
There's a seperate question of what synthesis / absorbs better. I think fruits marrrrrgiiiinaaalllly absorbs better, but for me it wasn't at a significant enough rate for me to spend half an hour of my day eating fruit.
