Can we still not shorten midface in 2023?

Can you take a picture? I’d be grateful.

Chad. How long are you chewing on it? Do you think a single upper mouthguard is enough to shorten midface?
Few days. It already fucked up my molars, pushed them up into alveola.

But the 3mm shortening was from light clenching without mouthguard for about two months.

I naturally clench. So the mouthguard f* up your molars? Why do you continue?

While clenching is it necessary to keep proper body-neck posture or can you be slouched?
Not too important but forward head posture will lead to less ccwr.

It's brutal how rare OBO is. I haven't seen a single before-after on here.

He just went overboard and added too much when all he needed was 3-4mm but honestly it looks like the surgery went well with no bad side-effects.

One of the most important things that gives a face harmony.

I sit at 0.88-0.90 which is brutal…
Clench your jaws and grind your teeth
I'm amazed how feckless people wander through life with nothing worth stressing about. Like do you have a job? a relationship? any kind of deadline? or are you just on autopilot all day?

Dude ur getting the exact opposite

I’m 99.999% sure You’re making your midface longer by clenching the molars

You’re doing the opposite of what you want to do

Clenching the front teeth will make your midface shorter

It's the first step in realignment. Molars are just the first to react. The other teeth then follow. It's impossible to lengthen midface by clenching.

If you put pressure on the back of the maxilla/molar area it will cause the back of the maxilla to rotate giving you a longer midface

It’s happened to people all the time. You’re giving yourself a longer midface

That would apply if you put pressure only on the molars, which isn't possible. I put pressure on the whole arch, molars are just the first in the line. Others follow. The whole maxilla shortens, all teeth move up.

You are just affecting the teeth, not the maxilla. Max you can do is to lose bone density.

Show more forehead + increase the size of your jaw, especially mandible is the only thing you can do to harmonise.
Straight up surgical reduction of midface seems like a botch minefield
