We all know this inframous "mewing" gif where face turn from backward to forward growth.
Maxilla

But can you achieve this with current surgical protocols? Or the expected change is to dramatic to obtain?

the cranial base is an extremely important aspect of facial growth completely overlooked by all surgeons it seems.

not easily

know that mewing only works if your bones are still developed and you were a hardcore mouth breather

• You can never achieve even 20% of this with mewing, as an adult or teenager, ever. So let’s get that out of the way.

• You can achieve this with surgery with the exception of the cranial base changes and TMJ changes.

• There are no intracranial aesthetics:

I never though mewing would change ANYTHING I was just curious if surgery can replicate this to that extenf- shorter and more projected midface and nose, better facial depth etc. Old consensus was that surgery cant fix those issues.
