Can you apply tretinoin on fresh wounds such as microneedling?

Title, so for exemple if you have a microneedling session, can you use tretinoin on the same day or you should wait at least a day or two?I have read that tretinoin can speed up wounds recovery, but a lot of people advise against using tretinoin even one week prior which sounds insane!
