What you are comparing is behaviour synonymous with autists but also people who are traumatised by bullying, say avoiding eye contact for example (autistic trait and also trait of an abused dog)

But the difference is that if you're ND its all biological, such as different sensory processing. For the bullied it's a physiological and neurological response caused by fear.

If we take the social friction that you are referring to, an ND person behaves strangely because of natural variance in communication styles and an inability to instinctively read neurotypical social cues. Whereas for the bullied, it is driven by hypervigilance, fear of rejection, self-protection, and a loss of trust in others

Almost all brain scans of people with BPD show near no neurlogical abnormalities. They are almost always totally unresponsive to medications(exception obvi if they have comorbidity). Their recovery rate via therapy is the highest of any psychiatric disorder.

There is simply nothing neurologically wrong. Instead BPD is the outcropping of bad childhood + exploitation of how learning normally functions in the brain. It may be undesirable, serious and maladaptive. That does not make it inherently neurologically divergent.

Neurodivergent people don't necessarily have neurological abnormalities, and trust me, I know someone with BPD and they are UNBEARABLE without their meds.

I think you're taking the term neurodivergent too literally, It is an umbrella term. It can include innate traits, acquired too etc etc

I don't think there being a exit matters, if they made a magical pill to cure adhd for ever they would still of been nd

I'm quite literally trying to find the studies you're mentioning and I cannot find a single one, all of them say the opposite, which means they're ND

And they do not RECOVER, they might get a slightly better, but they will never be normal
