Can you chew/jawmax with braces on?

Basically the title; I want to start chewing, etc to improve my jaw but idk what to do since I recently got my braces attached and I might damage them.
Any advice for how I should be improving my jaw moving forward in light of this, or should I give up on jawmaxxing completely and just get lean to see improvements?
